About Us

G’day! I’m Francios Gildenhuys—owner, head mechanic, and the driving force behind Goldenhouse Garage.

I was born and raised in South Africa and made the move with my family to Central Queensland in 2020 before relocating to the Riverina NSW area in 2025, bringing over 18 years of industry experience and a strong passion for honest, high-quality mechanical work.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked on everything from diesel trucks and trailers to light vehicles and forklifts, across leading brands like Scania, Volvo, UD, Iveco, Freightliner, Kenworth, and Hino.

I’ve earned my stripes as a Master Diesel Mechanic and was proud to be recognised as a Master Toyota Technician and a Top 15 Technician finalist in the UD Trucks South Africa Championship.

Here in Australia, I’m fully certified and licensed as an:

• Approved Examiner for Light & Heavy Vehicles and Trailers (for eSafety / Pink and Blue Slip inspections) - COMING SOON IN 2026!!!

• Holder of a Multi-Combination (MC) Driver Licence

• AAC02 Automotive Air Conditioning Licence (ARC approved)

• High Risk Work Licence – Forklift
